This 90-minute training session, “Conscious and Compassionate Conflict Resolution”, will be facilitated by Barry Johnson-Smith and focus on tough conversations around racism. Customized for Lake Oswego, this workshop is designed to empower participants with the tools to facilitate difficult but necessary conversations about antiracism and specifically respond to the microaggressions and overt racism that often arise in these spaces.

Each session has a maximum capacity of 25 participants. All participants will receive gift cards for their time and students will also receive certificates of completion that can be used towards volunteer hours.
By completing this training, participants will become eligible to be facilitators for future Respond to Racism community meetings and events.
