George E. Hocker, Jr. is a retired 34 year decorated Senior Intelligence Service Spymaster from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). George served 15 years in Africa, South America and the South Pacific.
George is the first Black American to serve as a Special Assistant to two CIA Directors, appointed by President Jimmy Carter and President Ronald Reagan. George’s last two years were served as CIA’s first Senior Advisor to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as part of President George H.W. Bush’s “War on Drugs”. His last year with CIA was 1991.
He was honored with the Intelligence Medal of Merit, the third highest, in 1990 and the Salvetti Award, the highest to retirees in 2022. Also, he is the only CIA retiree to have a personal exhibit of his career as part of the CIA Museum.
George also retired after managing client relationships with a Diversity Training and Consulting Company serving Fortune 100 companies for several years.
