 Join us for an unforgettable night at the Multnomah Arts Center. We will
  celebrate and honor outstanding individuals in our community through the
  Bruce R. Poinsette Honorary Persons and Business Award Ceremony. This i
 n-person event will have live music\, delicious food\, a silent auction\, 
 raffles\, fundraising for RtR\, photo opportunities\, a presentation of th
 e Bruce R. Poinsette Awards to our nominees\, and an overall celebration o
 f community and unity. Come dressed to impress and be prepared to have a f
 antastic time supporting a great cause.\n\nRegister for the Bruce R. Poins

 e Youth Empowerment Coalition.\n\nAbout Bruce R. Poinsette: Bruce R. Poin
 sette was a beloved RtR volunteer and Lake Oswego community member. He liv
 ed a life of service heavily inspired by growing up in Jim Crow South Caro
 lina and being part of a family with deep roots in the Civil Rights Moveme
 nt. Throughout his life\, he was always willing to lend a hand and educate
  those around him\, as well as push for Black representation in particular
  and representation for marginalized groups in general in spaces they have
  historically been excluded from throughout Oregon. In May\, Bruce passed 
 away due to complications from a low risk heart procedure\, unfortunately 
 making him a statistic of the disproportionate negative impacts of the hea
 lthcare system on Black communities. With the Bruce R. Poinsette Awards\, 
 we honor his legacy by uplifting those who have shown a real commitment to
  service in creating a more equitable and inclusive Lake Oswego for everyo
